I recently discovered that honors students at a Christian university are required to receive coaching on Financial Literacy. In these sessions, they discuss topics such as "budgeting, student loans, goal setting, credit cards, investing, savings, taxes, giving, and more — all from a biblical perspective."
While I certainly applaud the effort and the intention of this program, it is sadly missing the target. And it’s missing an opportunity. Rather than teaching students to play better at fiat games, a Christian institution should be exposing the sin of fiat money.
To attempt an analogy: they are discussing the best dresses a boy can wear and how he should walk in heels so as to maintain some distinction between male and female (a “biblical perspective”), when instead – quite obviously – they should be addressing the evils of transgenderism.
What I suspect they do not discuss in this seminar is the Federal Reserve (established in 1913) and the perils of central banking. They will not quote Thomas Jefferson, who said that central banks are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. They will not reference Henry Ford, who said it was just as well that people do not understand our banking system, because if they did there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning. They will not discuss the debasement of their labor (i.e., time and energy) by the legal but still immoral counterfeiting done by every bank on every street corner due to fractional reserve lending. They will not discuss the fact that our entire monetary system is engineered to transfer wealth from the poor to the rich via the Cantillon effect. They will not discuss the cause of inflation (money printing) which benefits those with assets (the rich) at the expense of those without assets (the poor). Most people know nothing of these things, and that is by design. The proper job of a Christian institution is to expose these evils.
Do you think Planned Parenthood is wicked? Do you think Hollywood is depraved? Planned Parenthood and Hollywood are splashing in the kiddie pool compared to the Dollar. Our monetary system is the mother of all evils; the tree that bears the fruit of abortion, depraved entertainment, forever wars, destruction of the family, slavery, poverty, tyranny, and on-and-on-and-on. Fiat money is the plant whose roots are the debasement of our currency, food, art, science, architecture, time, relationships, and life itself.
Those who are still plugged into the worldly Matrix do not understand or care about the evils of fiat money, and their language gives them away. Christians who speak of being “good stewards” of their dollars reveal their lack of understanding. When they speak of “being wise” with your spending, your debts, your investments, their lack of comprehension is on full display. I don't wish to sound mean, but it's past time to wake up.
Once your eyes are opened to the evils of fiat money, your thinking and your language will change because your whole approach to the problem will change. You won’t seek to win at fiat games (which necessarily creates fiat losers), you will instead ask: “How can I destroy this beast? What can I do to kill the fiat system and usher in a better way?”
These are the goals of the awakened. And - praise God! - we have a better alternative to fiat. Thanks to Bitcoin, we have the weapon that can destroy fiat money forever.
To ignore Bitcoin and focus instead on "winning" at fiat games is to put lipstick on a pig. And since that is what they are seemingly bent on doing, would you like rouge or ultra pink on that snout?
